Scott Fly Rods' first rods were rooted in fiberglass. In fact, when Scott Fly Rods started out in the early '70s, graphite fly rods didn't even exist. We made our mark on the fly-fishing landscape by creating, in our early years, high-performance multi-piece glass rods for anglers venturing into the mountains in search of wild trout in cool, crystal-clear waters.
Anglers have been dazzled by the fluid performance of our industry-first 5-piece fly rod, as well as by our full range of multi-piece light-line glass rods.
We've been making fiberglass rods ever since. There's a good reason why we continue to design and hand-make glass rods: we believe that glass is the best material available for very short-range fishing, for enjoying the feel of small fish, and simply for the pleasure of fishing.
With the all-new F Series, we've combined thinner profiles with E-glass and our redesigned hollow inner ferrule to set a new standard for deeply flexible, soft rods. And, even though you can cast them much further, these rods are optimized to throw beautiful, accurate loops at less than 20 feet.
By carefully controlling the distribution of mass and stiffness, we've created fiberglass rods that are very light, stable and form beautiful loops with only a few feet of line coming out of the tip. So you can cast precisely into the next pond or along crowded banks, even over streams you can step over. That's something your graphite rods can't do easily.
We've combined this performance with best-in-class components like Snake Brand Universal snake guides, Flor grade cork handles, SiC titanium stripping guides, and CNC machined reel seats, then added our little touches like measuring windings and alignment points.
No detail was overlooked. After all, F-Series rods carry a lot of history and pride.
So if you love fishing small, pristine waters and catching wild, jewel-like fish, treat yourself to the ultimate fishing tools: Scott F-Series rods. High performance, handcrafted, pure pleasure.
