Choose your declination
A 1/0 wide gap hook or a small hook in size 1 to 1/0 leaves the legs free, depending on the actual shape of the hook. Always position the rig against the body before threading it on. When using it as a trailer on a small jig, let the claws extend beyond the skirt. For slow fishing, short twitches followed by a pause make the change in posture visible.
