Solid Rings

The Solid Rings category brings together closed rings used to build very strong connections on lure fishing rigs. Unlike a split ring, a solid ring does not open: it works as a fixed, reliable connection point between the line, leader, assist hook, jig or another rigging part.

These rings are especially useful for jigs, casting jigs, assist hook rigs, saltwater fishing and situations where heavy pressure can occur. They also suit rigs for pike, catfish, powerful fish and heavy lures that need a dependable connection.

Round, oval, forged, figure-8 and pear-shaped rings do not all serve the same purpose. A round solid ring gives a simple and very strong link. A pear or figure-8 shape can help organise the rig, separate attachment points or improve alignment between line, hook and lure.

Choose by rated strength, diameter, jig size, assist hook style, target species and tackle power. On heavy-duty rigs, always check the rings, knots and hooks: the strength of the whole setup depends on its weakest point.
