Punch Stops

The Punch Stops category brings together small accessories used to hold a weight, sinker or bead in the right position on the line. They are especially useful on Texas rigs, Carolina rigs, bullet weights and some soft bait rigs where the weight needs to stay controlled without completely blocking the presentation.

A sinker stopper limits weight movement, protects the knot, stabilises the rig or lets you adjust the distance between the weight and the lure. It can also keep a rig compact in cover, grass or tight spots while still leaving enough freedom for the soft bait to move naturally.

Rubber, silicone and gripper-style stops are chosen by line diameter, sinker weight, casting force and required stealth. A stop that is too large can affect sliding or make the rig bulky; one that is too small can slip with a heavy weight or strong rod work.

Choose by rig type: Texas rig, Carolina rig, bullet weight, bottom contact fishing, grass fishing or a freer soft bait presentation. The right stop should stay reliable under pressure, remain adjustable when needed and avoid damaging the line.
