Swimming Jig

The Swimming Jig category brings together skirted jigs designed to be retrieved with a steady swimming action, sitting between a classic rubber jig and a more visible spinnerbait. Their weighted head, weed guard and skirt help them come through grass, wood, rocks, pontoons and tight edges.

A swimming jig is useful for pike, black bass, perch and zander. It can be fished over grass, through gaps, along breaks or close to cover when predators are feeding on crayfish, baitfish or prey holding near the bottom.

Choosing the right model depends on weight, head shape, hook size, weed guard stiffness and skirt volume. A lighter jig stays higher in the water column, while a heavier model sinks faster and keeps better contact around deeper spots.
