Attractive

The Attractive category brings together sprays, creams, gels and boosters used to add or reinforce scent and taste on a lure. They are mainly used on soft baits, but some products can also be applied to jigs, saltwater rigs or hard baits depending on the formula and fishing conditions.

An attractant does not replace the right lure size, colour, action or presentation. It can, however, help fish hold the bait longer, mask unwanted odours and refresh a soft lure that has already been used. On cautious fish, slow presentations or short bites, this small detail can matter.

Garlic, shrimp, crustacean, sardine, squid/krill, worm and fish scents cover different situations. In freshwater, they are often used for zander, perch, black bass and pike. In saltwater, sardine, shrimp, krill or fish profiles can suit sea bass, pollack, wrasse and seabream tactics.

Choose by lure type, how well the product stays on the bait, how often it must be reapplied, season, water clarity and the prey present on the spot. Apply lightly but regularly, avoiding unnecessary contact with eyes, hands and tackle parts that do not need scent.
