Rings

The Rings category brings together split rings used to connect hooks, lures, assist hooks, jigs and rigging accessories. They let you replace a tired ring, increase lure strength or adapt the hook setup for stronger fish.

On a hard bait, jerkbait, stickbait or saltwater lure, the split ring links the lure eye to the hook. Size and strength must stay consistent with the lure: too weak, it can open under pressure; too large, it can affect swimming action or unbalance the rig.

Stainless, heavy duty, forged, oval and fine wire rings answer different needs. A thin and discreet ring suits small lures and finesse fishing. A reinforced ring is better for pike, catfish, saltwater fishing, large hard baits, jigs and setups exposed to heavy pulls.

Choose by diameter, rated strength, opening, shape and compatibility with the hook or assist hook. Use proper split ring pliers to avoid deforming the ring, and check the parts that take the most stress regularly.
