The Gurza Joint Magna EWG combines a MAGNA EWG hook with an IRON-JOINT swivel jig head. This rig is designed for challenging areas such as rocky ledges, submerged trees, bottom vegetation, deep water, and strong currents. The swivel jig head allows for a sawtooth retrieve or a continuous retrieve along the bottom. The choice depends on the size of the soft lure, the required weight, and the number of pieces per pack.

The Magna EWG Joint is used with artificial lures when the rig needs to navigate through obstacles while remaining effective on the bottom. The IRON-JOINT head provides a useful articulation for scraping, lifting, and then re-establishing contact with the substrate without completely locking the lure in place. Its clip holds the hook in place and maintains a consistent rig during vigorous retrieves. Size 5/0 is suitable for more compact lures, while sizes 6/0 and 7/0 are designed for larger lures or heavier weights. The weight should be chosen based on depth, current, and the desired speed of contact with the bottom.
