The Superb Tarpon XL 1290 was developed for large saltwater predators and #12 lines. The Hexagon Graphene blank features three ANT guide rings, with the two largest being under-wrapped to better distribute the load. Reinforced serpentine guides and an oversized tip guide complete the setup. The black reel seat is salt-resistant, while the AAAA cork handle and butt are reinforced with hardened cork. The dark blue blank features red markings at 75, 100, 125, and 150 cm. The Tarpon XL is not an all-purpose rod: its 9' #12 size is suited for heavy setups and fights where maximum power is a priority.
