The SCIII blank features an EVA handle, a nylon/aluminum reel seat, and stainless steel OAL guides. The intermediate actions are designed for common fishing techniques; the H and XH actions increase casting distance. For a single-hook rig, choose a line weight suitable for setting the hook and navigating obstacles. For heavy lures, add up the weight of the lure, the sinker, and the hook setup before comparing the total weight to the rod’s weight range.
