The Tesoro LD Jigging is designed for jigging large marine species, including tuna, yellowtail, and grouper. It uses braided line exclusively. The Carbonite Dual Force drag system is controlled by a lever with four settings: Free, M, Strike, and Full.
The Tesoro LDJ is a spinning reel designed for saltwater jigging with braided line. The spool features a Spool Pin attachment system; this version is not intended for use with monofilament line.
The drag lever has four marked positions: Free to release the spool, followed by M, Strike, and Full to restore the settings. The Carbonite Dual Force system works with the Flite Drive to maintain smooth rotation under load.
The 6061-T6 aluminum frame and stainless steel gears are paired with an aluminum handle featuring an EVA T-bar grip. The model shown weighs 595g and retrieves 100cm per turn, with a capacity of 650m of 0.285mm braided line.
A mechanism allows the spool to be locked in place if the line snags on the bottom. The reel features a triple anti-reverse system and does not have an audible line-release ratchet.
