Vision Nippers

Vision Nippers are among the small tools we use every time we change a fly, adjust a tip, or tie a leader. The black Nipper model is all about simplicity: an affordable, unobtrusive line cutter with an eye-clearing needle to keep a fly flyable when varnish or fibers clog the eye. The Power Nipper steps it up with wider blades and a larger cutting surface, which comes in handy when line diameters increase or the fluorocarbon becomes stiffer. The choice therefore depends mainly on the type of fishing: nymphs, dry flies, and fine tips for the classic model; streamers, reservoir fishing, saltwater, or heavy leaders for the Power version. In both cases, the goal is to keep a clean cut within easy reach, without having to pull out a bulkier pair of pliers.
