The Illex Magic Crank 40 SR is a small 'Crankbait Shallow Runner', ideal for prospecting shallow areas of rivers, ponds and lakes. The unique sound of the MAGIC CRANK 40 SR is achieved by two small metal balls circulating freely in a chamber specially designed like a prism (multiple grooves) to make the balls squeak and thus create a low-pitched sound, as well as providing a visual stimulus by reflecting light through this cavity. A simple, continuous linear recovery, interspersed with 'Stop & Go' pauses, is all it takes to make it formidable. You can also vary the retrieve speed or give it a very fast 'Steady Retrieve' stroke. That's all it takes to trigger reflex attacks from predators (perch, pike-perch, pike, black-bass, trout, chub...) over weedbeds, around foliage and close to all types of obstacles.
