The XLS Fly Reel embodies the spirit of the XLV series with a more refined design centered around a disc drag system sealed with O-rings and water-resistant SKF grease. The large arbor speeds up line retrieval and helps maintain better contact when a fish is running toward the angler. The Rivermaniac remains the versatile, compact, and lightweight trout model, while the Meri adds a full-cage frame that’s useful with thin running lines for saltwater or sea trout fishing. Pikemaniac offers increased capacity and power for #9/10 lines and large predator streamers. Hybrid and Kojamo cater to more technical fishing styles involving heavy heads, shooting heads, or switch/double-handed rods, where line capacity and line control are critical.
