The Generation World Series 10’8 #3 is a 4-piece fly rod weighing 91 g, developed within the Generation World Series – Designed by French Team project with the French National Fly Fishing Team. Manufactured in France by NATIVE, it is built around maneuverability, sensitivity, drift control and useful power reserve.
At 10 feet 8 inches for a #3 line, it provides enough reach to guide drifts, keep line away from conflicting currents and work with fine leaders, while remaining more manageable than a longer specialist rod.
The blank loads progressively. The upper section retains sensitivity to follow the rig, while power builds deeper into the rod. A strongly tapered butt adds authority without sacrificing presentation finesse.
This action helps the angler read changes in tension, current speed, bottom contact and subtle takes. The aim is to maintain useful contact without forcing an unnaturally tight drift.
At 91 g, the 10’8 #3 keeps weight low for its length. In contact nymphing, where the rod is often held high, overall weight, mass distribution and balance all contribute directly to comfort and precise rod control over long sessions.
The down-locking reel seat helps lower the balance point. A short grip promotes a compact hand position and works particularly well with semi-automatic reels. The matte blank and understated build follow the same functional approach.
The series is designed, tested and technically validated with members of the French National Fly Fishing Team. NATIVE handles industrial development and manufacturing in France, with blanks rolled in its French workshops.
The 10’8 #3 emphasizes versatility and maneuverability. The 11’2 #3 moves further toward tactile feedback, finesse and long-drift control.
