The Generation World Series 11’2 #3 is a 4-piece fly rod weighing 87 g, developed within the Generation World Series – Designed by French Team project with the French National Fly Fishing Team. Manufactured in France by NATIVE, it is focused on tactile feedback, finesse and drift control for modern nymphing.
At 11 feet 2 inches, the added reach expands the zone in which the angler can directly manage the rig: keeping more line off the water, reaching across intermediate currents, making quick angle corrections and guiding long drifts.
The 11’2 #3 is intended to transmit more than a take. Rig tension, changes in current speed, bottom contact and nymph movement all become useful information for adjusting weight, depth, leader angle and applied tension.
The key is finding the right contact: precise enough to read the drift, but subtle enough to preserve a natural presentation.
At 87 g for 11’2”, the rod keeps weight low for its length. In contact nymphing, where the rod is often held high, overall weight, mass distribution and balance all contribute directly to comfort, responsiveness and precise rod control over long sessions.
The 11’2 remains a genuine #3 rod. It is particularly relevant with light nymphs, fine leaders, long drifts and discreet presentations, without being limited to one rig or technique.
The series is designed, tested and technically validated with members of the French National Fly Fishing Team. NATIVE handles industrial development and manufacturing in France, with blanks rolled in its French workshops.
The 11’2 #3 emphasizes tactile feedback, finesse and drift control. The 10’8 #3 offers greater all-round versatility and maneuverability.
