Scott's all-new Carbon Web technology enhances the rod's torsional stability and durability by wrapping unidirectional fibers in an ultra-light, multidirectional carbon-fiber web. These fibers help counter torsional forces, giving you greater accuracy and power for long-line retrieves and redirected casts. They also help reduce the propagation of microfractures due to stress or impact, which can occur in unidirectional layouts. Sector rods feature newly designed components that defy harsh saltwater environments, redefine reliability and enhance the angler's experience. They feature all-new CeRecoil stripping guides with nickel-titanium frames and super-smooth zirconia inserts, as well as Recoil nickel-titanium snake guides for low-friction, corrosion-free performance. The guide assemblies are PVD-coated with a low-reflection coating for enhanced durability and discretion. Reel seats are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and feature self-indexing sliding covers, a deep-ribbed thumbwheel for easy adjustment with wet hands, a military-grade spec 3 hardcoat in non-reflective matte black, and engravings indicating line weight for quick rod identification. Flor grade cork grips are turned to our modified wells shape, and the new fighting heels feature thick, soft rubber for added comfort during tough fights or when leaning on long casts.
