The HOVERJIG has quickly established itself as a go-to choice for pike fishing in cluttered environments. This smaller version, the TINY HOVERJIG, retains the same jighead shape to easily pass through vegetation and driftwood. As with the larger models, the hook was specifically developed and adapted to the size of this GUNKI mini rubber jig. It was designed to minimize snags on obstacles, improve trailer retention, and optimize hooking efficiency. This hook is short and has a fairly wide gape. Capable of holding large fish, the wire diameter we’ve chosen is specific to each hook size to achieve the best ratio of “penetration quality on the strike to resistance to opening.” The skirt is stiff enough to pass through obstacles but flexible enough to allow for a set using “finesse” rods. The flexibility of the silicone strands, their length, and their number give the skirt volume and subtle movement, whether the jig is sinking or being worked with minimal action.
