The Koika sinks horizontally with a wide, drifting motion. Its asymmetrical body is designed for slow retrieves that alternate between lifting the jig and letting it free-fall.
The appeal of the Koika lies in the time it takes to sink. After the cast, its asymmetry causes it to tilt and flutter widely. A slow retrieve allows this action to unfold between two movements.
The jig is equipped with a VMC assist hook mounted on a Dacron leader. The sizes correspond to the weight: 73 mm for 40 g, 84 mm for 60 g, 93 mm for 80 g, and 100 mm for 100 g.
