The Kensaki is a slow-pitch jig that dives quickly and then flutters on a slack line. Its asymmetrical profile and aligned eyes allow it to alternate between a sharp ascent and a tight horizontal descent.
The motion is based on alternating pulls and releases. The pull raises the Kensaki; the release allows it to tilt and flutter. Keeping the line taut at all times would limit this motion to the descent.
Its blade-like profile facilitates access to great depths. The jig is equipped with two VMC assist hooks.
The 120g model measures 13.3 cm and the 170g model measures 15.2 cm. Choosing the appropriate weight allows you to adjust the descent to the depth and the boat’s drift.
