The Salmon & Seatrout Polyleader is a tapered leader that’s stronger than the trout versions, offering consistent strength for powerful fish and heavier flies. It is inserted between the fly line and the leader to quickly adjust the sink rate, while maintaining a clean turnover thanks to its flexible polymer coating. The floating version is used for high-water fishing or for flies that need to stay near the surface. The intermediate and sinking models take over when current, depth, or fish behavior require the line to sink. It’s an effective solution for adjusting a floating fly line or shooting head without changing the spool.
