The rod features stainless steel Alconite guides, a nylon/aluminum reel seat, and a super-grade cork handle. The ML to H power ratings cover a variety of applications; rod length alone is not enough to determine the model. For soft lures, factor in the weight of both the body and the head. For a plug, also consider the drag created by its lip. A long rod makes it easier to control the line from a breakwater; a shorter one is easier to handle near a boat.
