The Flite Surf is designed for line retrieval and release during surfcasting. Its 35-mm-stroke spool operates with a slow oscillation and a one-piece pick-up. The EFR roller features a DLC coating.

This FLS35-1500AY model has a capacity of 260 m of 0.18 mm line, or 210 m of 0.20 mm line.

The frame and rotor are made of C-40X carbon. With a lightweight spool, A7075 shaft, and handle, the reel weighs 472g. It retrieves 103cm per turn despite its 4.3:1 gear ratio.

The carbon drag is fast and progressive, with a maximum force of 18 kg. A line guide on the rotor limits the flow of line toward the gear train.
