The Cedros features a Dual Force drag system with LITECAST construction and CRC anti-corrosion treatment. The aluminum handle screws directly into the mechanism, minimizing play at the connection point.

The gear train includes an HDG II brass pinion and 6+1 bearings, including corrosion-resistant HPB bearings. The spool is machined from aluminum.

On the 8000 and 14000 sizes, the pick-up closes manually, and the reel features a double anti-reverse. This feature should be taken into account when choosing a size, in addition to capacity and weight.
