The Fit Jig alternates between a rapid descent toward the target and fluttering movements when the line is slackened. It allows you to explore a shipwreck, a drop-off, or a school of fish at sea. It can also be used from the shore for shore jigging.
The Fit Jig starts by fluttering, then quickly descends toward the target area. This trajectory allows you to reach a wreck, a drop-off, or a school of fish before working the lure on the retrieve.
One technique involves quickly retrieving it 5 to 6 meters, then giving a sharp tug followed by lowering the rod. The slack line then allows the jig to drift back down freely while fluttering. Re-establishing contact allows you to repeat the cycle.
Strikes can occur during this descent or when tension is re-established. The Fit Jig is suitable for jigging in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, as well as for shore jigging from the shore.
Available weights are 75g, 100g, and 150g. The rig combines an assist hook with a VMC 7717 TI single hook.
