Layering

The Layering category brings together technical base layers, baselayers, boxers, bottoms, thermal tops and breathable layers used to build a comfortable fishing clothing system. A fishing base layer should manage moisture, reduce the feeling of cold and stay comfortable under waders, pants, jackets or bibs. Lightweight layers suit active sessions, mid-season fishing or conditions where breathability matters most. Thermal, heavyweight and more insulating models are better for cold weather, wind and long static sessions.

Baselayer tops and bottoms help build a coherent layering system. A breathable top helps move moisture under a jacket, while a thermal bottom improves comfort under waders or pants. Boxers and next-to-skin layers also matter when walking long distances or fishing from a float tube, boat or bank.
