Combinaison

The Combinaison category brings together Simms bibs designed to protect the lower body during fishing sessions exposed to rain, wind, spray or cold weather. It includes Challenger Bib, Challenger Insulated Bib, CX Bib, Guide Insulated Bib, ProDry Bib, ProDry Bib 2025 and Vapor Elite Bib models.

A fishing bib should be chosen by weather, fishing style and the level of protection required. Rain bibs and shells such as ProDry, Vapor Elite and CX are mainly intended for outings where waterproofing, breathability and wind protection matter most. They are useful on boats, on exposed banks or when staying out for long periods in steady rain.

Challenger and Guide Insulated models are better suited to cool conditions, slower fishing, long waits or days when insulation matters as much as outer protection. A bib can also pair with a technical jacket to build a coherent setup against rain and cold without limiting movement.

Before choosing, check waterproofing, breathability, insulation, suspenders, zips, pockets, fit, compatibility with boots or wading shoes and comfort when seated in a boat or float tube. For heavy rain, prioritise a breathable shell; for cold weather, choose an insulated model or add a thermal layer underneath.
