The Pantalon & Short category brings together Simms pants, shorts, board shorts and lower-body layers for bank fishing, boat fishing, travel or pairing with wading gear. It includes Guide Pant, Waypoints Pant, Dockwear Pant, BugStopper Pant, Challenger Shorts, Seamount, Superlight, Rogue, Gallatin, Confluence, Coldweather, Midstream and technical layers such as Midweight Core Bottom.

Fishing pants or shorts should be chosen by season, warmth, sun exposure, wind, insects, walking distance and freedom of movement. Lightweight, zip-off and Superlight pants work well for active fishing, long walks and warm days. Shorts and board shorts are better suited to summer sessions, boat use and quick approaches.
