Bäkkäri Backing is Vision’s versatile backing for fly reels, suitable for everything from light trout fishing to more demanding conditions. Its thin diameter allows for greater line capacity without unnecessarily filling the spool, which is especially useful with thick lines or compact reels. The line is resistant to breaking under high tension—an important factor when a fish takes off and the backing is really put to the test. The 12lb line is suitable for light setups, the 20lb remains the standard choice for trout, reservoir, or general-purpose fishing, while the 30lb provides added security when targeting powerful fish or using larger reels. The choice of length depends on the reel being spooled: a small spool for a single rig, or a bulk spool to neatly spool multiple rigs.
