The Vision Ace Leader is a tapered monofilament leader, originally developed to be used with Ace Of Spey heads, and later adopted for a variety of powerful fly fishing applications. The 6' version is ideal for casting large flies and diving tips; the 9' is better suited for one-handed fishing for large fish; while the 15' is designed for more versatile salmon and steelhead fishing. The choice of diameter depends on the weight of the flies, the size of the fish, and the power of the fly head being used.

The Ace Leader is designed to ensure a clean transition between the main line or shooting head and the fly, especially when the rig needs to retrieve with power. The 6' model is short and direct: it loads quickly, transfers power well, and performs consistently with large flies, Skagit heads, or heavily sinking heads. The 9' version offers more length for one-handed fishing for strong fish or slower-sinking heads, providing a less abrupt presentation than a very short leader. The 15' offers greater control and versatility for salmon and steelhead fishing, where the extra length helps you cast more precisely and track the drift. Each pack contains two leaders; simply choose the diameter based on the required strength and the size of the fly you’re casting.
