Zenaq Fokeeto Ikari Casting

The Zenaq Fokeeto Ikari Casting range is designed for offshore jigging and is built around Zenaq’s proprietary IKARI blank concept. Rather than making each model work within a narrow jigging style, the series is designed to keep a broad working range while maintaining fast recovery, sensitivity and a high elastic limit under load. The baitcasting line-up starts with the FB63-1 IKARI, a 6'3" model rated to approximately 120 g and PE 1.5, intended for lighter high-pitch, one-pitch and slow-pitch work. The FB63-3 IKARI keeps the 6'3" format but steps up to approximately 170 g with short jigs and 240 g with long jigs, with a PE 0.8–2 line range. It is the more technical choice for strong current, thinner PE and mixed jig profiles. For heavier offshore use, the FB64-5 IKARI measures 6'4" and is rated to about 210 g with short jigs and 280 g with long jigs, with PE 1.5–2.5. Zenaq positions this model for deeper water and a broad range of jig shapes, particularly when stronger fish and heavier metal require more reserve power. All three baitcasting models use an offset-handle construction, allowing the blank section itself to remain long while keeping transport length more manageable. The reel-size recommendations also increase with power: smaller low-profile or compact round reels make sense on the FB63-1, while the FB63-3 and FB64-5 are intended for progressively larger jigging reels and stronger shock leaders. Choosing between the models should start with jig type, depth and current rather than simply maximum lure weight. A long 220 g jig and a compact 220 g slow jig do not load or recover from the blank in the same way. For mixed inshore jigging, the FB63-3 is the broad middle ground; for deeper water and heavier long jigs, the FB64-5 is the more appropriate step up.
