DOHIKU Classic D dubbing is used to shape the bodies and thoraxes of artificial flies. It is suitable for larvae, nymphs, and emergers where you want to adjust the body’s color and volume using a vise.

The Classic D serves as the colored base for a dubbing abdomen or thorax. A cinnamon shade works well for the body of a caddis larva, with a darker thorax to mark the separation. For a slender abdomen, stretch out a small pinch of the material before rolling it onto the thread. Then add the material in small amounts: you can gradually thicken the thorax without giving the entire body the same volume.
