Fly Tying Materials
The Fly Tying Materials category brings together the main material families used to tie flies. It is the entry point for fly hooks, dubbing, tying threads, natural materials, synthetic materials, beads, weights, ribbing materials, glues, varnishes and resins.
Each material has a precise effect on the fly: profile, flotation, density, shine, durability, segmentation, movement or finish. Dubbing does not behave like a natural feather, a tungsten bead does not serve the same purpose as ribbing wire, and UV resin does not replace a classic glue.
Choose according to the pattern you want to tie: heavy nymph, fine dry fly, emerger, wet fly, streamer or saltwater fly. The right material is the one that gives the volume, hold and action you need without making the tying process unnecessarily complex.
