Floss silks

Floss for fly tying

This category brings together floss and polyfloss materials for fly tying. The active range includes Textreme Polyfloss 280 Den., JMC Polyfloss, JMC Tinfloss and JMC Micro Polyfloss, plus a spool storage box.

What is floss used for?

Floss is used to create smooth bodies, underbodies, tags and clean colour sections on many fly patterns. Its flat profile helps produce even wraps when tension is controlled correctly.

Choose by fineness

Finer floss suits smaller flies and detailed work, while broader materials cover the hook shank more quickly and build more volume.

Control tension and storage

Even tension helps create a clean surface without excessive twisting. Store spools away from moisture and crushing to keep the material in good condition.
