The DSQ adds natural fibers to the back of a nymph or larva. If you use it on the thorax, pull out a few tips with a needle to suggest legs without adding a full collar. On a small hook, mixing it with finer dubbing makes it easier to create an even tuft. Remove any clumps before distributing the material along the thread. The final brushing should leave fibers proportional to the body, without obscuring its entire silhouette.
