When using the Damiki rig, mount it straight onto a suitable jig head to maintain a horizontal presentation. With the drop shot rig, gentle twitches of the line set the tail in motion. With the Ned Rig, the body tends to rise when the jig head settles. The groove in the body helps position the hook. Avoid using a hook shank that’s too long, as this will stiffen the rear of the lure. Start with subtle movements: the appeal of this size lies in control, not in a forced fast retrieve.
