When using the drop shot rig, position the lure at the fish’s level and focus on controlling the line tension. A small jig head, on the other hand, allows you to follow the bottom contours with short jerks or glides. The salted and scented material rounds out this presentation. Start with small movements, then increase the frequency of the retrieves if the fish are following but not biting. The six lures in the bag must be rigged straight so they don’t spin during the retrieve.
