Varivas Shock Leader FLUORO is clear fluorocarbon leader material on a 30m spool. Cut the length you need between the braid and the lure. A finer diameter lets a small lure move more freely; a thicker leader gives you more material where the line rubs against rock.
Diameter matters as much as the pound rating when choosing a lure leader. For example, the 20lb is 0.370mm, while the 30lb is 0.480mm. Around rock, run your fingers along the section closest to the lure after contact. Cut back past any nick before tying on again.

For the 16lb size, check the diameter printed on the spool. The SP-T coating helps resist abrasion. The fluorocarbon is wound in parallel so adjacent turns lie side by side. A spool band holds the free end in place between rigs.
