The top strap measures 25 × 3 cm and the bottom strap 40 × 5 cm. The groove in the top strap helps with positioning. Place the fasteners so that the force is not applied to a ring frame. Tighten just enough to secure the lines and avoid pinching a hook against the carbon fiber. These straps make it easier to move the rod short distances and store it in a case; they are not a substitute for a rigid tube when transporting the rod in conditions where it may be exposed to impacts.
