The PS577 holds onto the end of the material until it stops at the tying thread. It works equally well with rooster feathers, CDC, micro chenille, or tinsel. When tying a Palmer, use it to guide the hackle around the body while your other hand flattens the fibers. When using flat tinsel, pay attention to the orientation of the strip to keep the visible side facing up without twisting it. Opt for the PM577 Micro when the standard size takes up too much space around the tie.
