Hends Mink Tail - Queue de vison

The Hends Mink Tail is a mink tail. It allows you to select guard hairs and undercoat separately, rather than starting with pre-prepared dubbing.

The recipe for the Zinck Mink nymph illustrates these uses: guard hairs for the cerci, undercoat for the abdomen, and then a mixture of the two for a more textured thorax. This preparation thus gives the same fur multiple functions. The color is chosen to match the body of the fly being tied.
