As with the Flat Tricoroll, this lure is the fruit of a long collaboration between the ILLEX Stream Master team and Koichi Fujimatsu (designer) of the Jackall firm. This project combines Japanese know-how with the demands of our rivers. This minnow is a "Super fast sinking" or "Super heavy weight" lure. This characteristic and its high density give it a marked aptitude for being cast far and fast through the water column to reach the bottom of the river where the current is strongly slowed down where salmonids are posted. The lure's mechanical characteristics make it effective right from the descent (strong rolling effect), but also during "downstream" or "three-quarter downstream" drifts when the angler accompanies the lure, rod up, with a semi-tensioned banner. Under these conditions, the slightest animation sets the lure in motion by the simple pressure exerted by the current on the triangular-shaped lip, which ensures great stability in the most agitated sectors. Of course, traditional jerking and twitching are still effective in deceiving trout. Particularly at home in all types of watercourses, its streamlined body gives it exceptional hold in areas with strong currents, but also in slower sectors where the slightest water pressure or animation is likely to cause it to wobble. To limit the risk of unhooking, the belly hook is attached to a rolling swivel which rotates 360 degrees. These features make it an ideal choice for other species such as asp, perch and sea bass. Without a doubt, this big-river lure will be the big revelation of 2018!
(Ryushin) translates from Japanese as River Center.
