The Bourget is a landing net with a foldable head and a telescoping aluminum handle. Its net is designed to preserve the fish’s mucus when landing it. The models combine different lengths and head sizes to adapt the reach to the fishing spot.
When choosing a Bourget, there are two factors to consider: the total length needed to reach the fish and the head opening required to land it. A single 60x60cm head can thus be paired with several different shaft lengths.
The smaller sizes start at 1.50 m with a 50x50 cm head. The largest openings measure 70x70 cm, available in shaft lengths of 2.10 m, 2.40 m, or 2.70 m.
The head folds up and the aluminum handle is telescoping for transport. A belt clip completes the set. The net is designed to minimize damage to the fish’s mucus layer, which requires careful handling before releasing the fish back into the water.
