The Zippy Shock Leader is used to create a leader capable of absorbing the impact of casting with heavy weights. Its nylon copolymer construction is designed for powerful casts.
The Zippy can be cut to the length needed to make a snap leader. Its shock-absorbing capacity handles the peak tension generated at the moment of the cast.
Diameters ranging from 0.40 mm to 0.80 mm are available in 100-meter spools. The 0.90 mm and 1.00 mm spools contain 80 meters; the 1.20 mm and 1.40 mm spools contain 50 meters.
The 0.50 mm line has a breaking strength of 15 kg, the 0.55 mm line 20 kg, and the 0.60 mm line 24 kg. The choice should take into account the rig and the weight to be cast.
