On a pheasant-fiber body, the ND crosses the fibers and holds them in place. On a dubbing abdomen, it defines the segments without covering the protruding tips. Secure it along the length of the shank to avoid a bulge under the body. Then distribute the wraps at regular intervals and maintain the same number of segments per series. The spool contains 24 meters.
