Hends Lead Wire Flat is a lead strip used to weight fly bodies. Its flexibility makes it easy to wrap around the hook shank, and its flat cross-section allows you to create a metal base layer before building the body.

The available sizes are 0.2 × 1 mm, 0.2 × 1.5 mm, 0.3 × 1 mm, and 0.4 × 1 mm. The thickness affects the final profile; the width determines how much of the shank is covered by each wrap. The length of the wound section then determines the amount of weight placed on the fly.
