Spectra Flash is designed for large flies: its 4- to 5-mm width provides a highly visible reflective surface. It is used in particular to form the backs of gammarids and nymphs, as well as to cover chironomids and dragonfly larvae.
On a streamer, the ribbon can be incorporated into the body construction. It helps distribute the iridescence across a continuous area, with a base color available in several natural or vivid shades. Whether laid flat on the back or wrapped around the body, the ribbon allows you to concentrate the reflections on the desired part of the fly.
