Scott has fused all the proven technologies of the Meridian rods with new profiles, new components and their all-new Carbon Web technology. Scott's Carbon Web increases torsional stability and durability by wrapping unidirectional fibers in an ultra-light multidirectional carbon fiber web. These fibers help counter torsional forces, giving you better tracking and positive long-line retrievals to redirect casts. They also help reduce the spread of microfractures due to stress and impact, which can easily propagate in unidirectional layouts and lead to failure.
