The Sabiki Pro guides the line and rig through the blank to minimize tangles. It is designed for fishing for mackerel and horse mackerel with a sabiki rig. It accommodates rigs up to 150 cm in length, with hooks no wider than 1 cm.
The hooks on a sabiki rig can get snagged during handling or storage. The Sabiki Pro retracts them into the blank along with the line, which minimizes tangling between uses.
The rig must meet two specifications: a maximum length of 150 cm and a hook width of 1 cm. A pear-shaped sinker is recommended.
The casting version measures 7’3’’ and the spinning version, 7’7’’. Both are designed for fishing small saltwater fish such as mackerel and horse mackerel.
