The Tesoro offers multiple speeds in a water-resistant housing. In the 14000 series, the PA and HA versions both have a capacity of 290 meters of 0.45mm line, but retrieve 105 cm and 126 cm per turn, respectively. The choice therefore comes down to line retrieval speed.

The 5000PA and 6000PA are more compact, weighing around 450g, with a maximum drag of 15kg. The 8,000 to 20,000 models have a maximum drag of 25 kg; the 18,000 and 20,000 models weigh up to 928 g. The 4,000XA model has a maximum drag of 12 kg.

The Hydro Sealed aluminum frame is IPX7-rated. The drivetrain uses oversized brass gears, a GSS stabilization system, and 12+1 bearings. The Carbonite Dual Force brake is lubricated with Cal’s grease.
